Telehealth Services

Using Telehealth for Your Mental Health During COVID-19

COVID-19 has helped us to re-think a number of ways to live our life including how we take care of our mental health.  It has also changed the way we can provide services to you through the use of telehealth, or virtual visits. Continuing to connect with you is important to us as we all face challenges during this unknown time. Using a HIPAA compliant virtual platform will ensure your confidentiality and allow us to address your mental health needs. Please visit with your therapist about the virtual options available.

FAQs

If I am unsure about going into public for a therapy session, is there another option for me?

Yes. Our current pandemic creates stress and anxiety about taking care of our physical health in ways we can control. Just like your physical health, your mental health can be address. Fortunately, technology has been an important source of connecting with others when we are trying to isolate during the pandemic. Therapy, through virtual visits often referred to as telehealth visits, can also be completed in this way. Your counselor can continue to be available through HIPAA compliant telehealth visits. At this time, insurance companies we work with are currently covering these visits the same as in-person visits. Please discuss the options available with your therapist.

Will virtual sessions be confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality, with any type of counseling, is essential. When we are meeting virtually, no other people will be present in our office. We also ask that you find a private, quiet place free from distractions where you can keep confidentiality for yourself. If you are in a public setting where confidentiality cannot be ensured, we will ask to reschedule the appointment.
